Game Scores and Highlights from November 13 to 26/2019
Novice:
On November 19, 2019, Discover Fitness edged Cedar Street Dental 5-4. Courtney Biedermann and Victoria Souliere led their team to victory with a strong two goal efforts. Brianna Rathbone scored the other goal. Jordan Sparks tried to rally Cedar street back a two goal effort, but it wasn’t enough. Adele and Megane Plouffe rounded out their team scoring. Olivia Young contributed two assists.
On November 26, 2019, Porcupine Kinsmen and Discover Fitness played another close fought, exciting game, with the Kinsmen winning by the slimmest of margins, 7-6. In this game, both teams had challenges playing with short benches, and most of the players were exhausted by the end. Mia Thauvette catapulted Kinsmen to the win with a 4 goal outburst. Maelle Durepos and Adele Yates completed the scoring, and added two assists. Clara Altman and Kennedy Bernard chipped in with the other assists. Brianna Rathbone scored three goals in a losing cause, while Courtney Biedermann had two. Grayce Donaldson also scored for Discover Fitness; her first career Ringette goal!! Biedermann and Addison Larocque each contributed two assists.
Petite Division:
On November 19, 2019, Timmins Garage defeated Designer Pools 10-4, in a high scoring but entertaining affair. Janelle Lapierre paced the Garage attack with a hat trick. Gabrielle Cheff chipped in with 2 goals, while single scores came off the sticks of Cloe Belanger-Gallant, Valerie Hamilton, Amaia Aide-Rios, Hailey Plouffe, and Kaydence Malo. Helping out with important assists were Amaia Aide-Rios, Gabrielle Cheff, and Valerie Hamilton. Isabelle Merenda kept her Pool team in the game with 1 goal, 1 assist performance, while the balance of their scoring came off the sticks of Brooke-Lynne McGinn, Jasmine Bangs, and Mila Champagne.
Tween Division:
On November 20, 2019, Rehab Plus narrowly edged O’Reily’s Sports 3-2, in a squeaker that was decided halfway through the second period. It was a tight defensive game highlighted by the strong goaltending performances of Rehab’s Jo-Anne Vane and O’Reily’s Gaby Brazeau. For Rehab, the scoring was spread out among Anika Alarie, Janelle Lapierre, and Maria Aide-Rios. Brooke-Lynne McGinn and Ella McCarty responded for O’Reily’s.
JBO Division:
On November 13, 2019, Albert’s Sports & Work Wear edged Tisdale Plumbing 6-5 in a highly competitive game that was decided with two minutes left in the final period on the winning marker off the stick of Marguerite Bourdages-Cote. It was her second goal of the game. Her sister, Marie Bourdages-Cote, also chipped in with two goals. Melanie Gagnon and Jordyn Bartolomucci rounded out the scoring for Albert’s. Gagnon, Karine Harvey, and Karine Trudel added assists in the win. Keyana Breault scored two goals and added an assist for Tisdale, while Shannon Lachance and Alexis Clark added single tallies. Jennifer Landers had an assist.
On November 20, 2019, Albert’s Sports & Work Wear defeated Cain Safety 9-5. Sierra Landry was the hero of the night in breaking out with a 4 goal performance for Albert’s. She also had 2 assists. Jordyn Bartolomucci and Marie-Pier Durepos-Letourneau each added two markers of their own plus 2 assists. Marguerite Bourdages-Cote completed the scoring and added a primary assist. Marie Bourdages-Cote and Maya Brousseau chipped in with assists. Kelly-Anne Bennett responded with a two goal effort for Cain Safety, while Samantha Cain, Christine Jerk, and Nancy Woods had single contributions. Shannon Farrell, Christine Jerk, and Samantha Cain added primary assists in the loss.
On November 20, 2019, Masonic Lodge edged Tisdale Plumbing and Heating 7-5. Kara D’Arcangelo led her team to victory with a two goal performance. Caelen Easton, Kameron Brousseau, Emma Robertson, Taylor Rubino, and Olivia Deforge competed the scoring. Sarah Deforge, Hailey Brousseau, and Kara D’Arcangelo got the assists. Shannon Lachance had a hat trick in the loss. Nancy Courchesne chipped in with two goals.
